How did people not know this? A hysterectomy is the removal of the uterus. Hyster…os, maybe? Womb. Hysterical = driven crazy by her womb. I weeded it out of my vocabulary in favor of “hilarious,” which … I don’t honestly know the roots of. Maybe that means “driven crazy by balls.” But really, who isn’t in one way or another?
